Artist Statement:
Elsie Dill helped create the Salinas Valley Arts Association 35 years ago. It is the only remaining gallery in Salinas. Elsie has been instrumental in bringing artists together with a place to show their work and get additional workshops. She remains a dedicated artist and experimenter.
The Arts Council for Monterey County will honor Friend Elsie, Lifetime Achievement cartoonist Gus Arriola, poet Ric Masten, King City music teacher Bruce Graham, photography philanthropists Kim and Gina Weston, professional Todd Kruper, nonprofit Aromas Hills Artisans, and Volunteer Orlando Castro of the Alisal Center for the Fine Arts.
