My interest in photography began while growing up in Connecticut and continued through my college years in Boston. I was always inspired by the great landscape photography of Ansel Adams. Traveling to California inspired me to photograph the natural world around me. As a resident of Morgan Hill I’ve been able to take advantage of exploring and capturing the beauty of the western United States.

My goal is to bring a unique outlook to natural subjects whether they are well known landmarks or one of a kind occurrences. Natural light plays a significant roll in my photography to create a mood and to give the viewer a sense of what it was like to be there.

Until recently I have used 35mm film cameras. Within the past two years I have begun using digital cameras for the majority of my work. I have also shot 4x5 film on occasion.

Whether shooting film and scanning it to a digital file or shooting digital, I believe in maintaining the integrity of the original. Images receive only minor adjustments and cleanup in Photoshop.
